I love how subtle it is.
Loki is doubting himself despite his confident words.
He needs someone to tell him that he’s winning. He needs those assurances.
You know what’s more interesting? He never discusses his victory, doesn’t get excited about it like most villains. “You will fall before me” is about as close as he gets. The only time he sounds like he’s talking about the good part, the part he wants, is to successfully start the war.
Not end it.
Not surprising, however. He is the god of chaos, not the god of order. If he had actually managed to subdue the earth and rule it, he would have been frightfully bored within a month. And when Thor asks him, “You think this madness will end with your rule?” Loki doesn’t even try to argue the point. He just grins and says, “It’s too late. It’s too late to stop it.” At that point, he’s just having a damn good time.
Precisely! And when people call him on how he can’t win, he just draws it out, doesn’t actually correct them, just dares them to realise that he already knows, and plays along with their expectations. ”Awww! You still believe that I’m trying to win the war; that’s adorable. Let me remind you how good I’ve been so far at fucking with you.”
some believe that before the universe, there was nothing. they’re wrong. there was darkness, and it has survived.
Look at this cute little shit
LOKI is a villain of the year
Omg!!! “Feverish fan following”!!! That’s us!!! I’m dying
